For this week’s Friday Five, since it’s our 6th Day of Christmas, you’re getting the “Friday Six” instead! We are introducing you to the faces you often see at B. Whimsy – and we each picked our favorite thing (or two) in the store right now!
You’ll usually see Kari behind her floral desk, making beautiful wreaths and floral arrangements, or running in the store to grab a few things to take to someone’s house to decorate. So, it makes sense that her favorite thing in the store are these metal snowmen and reindeer. “I love these because you can add some ribbon and floral stems or sticks to make your own unique look.”
Ashley is master of the business end of B. Whimsy and keeps all of the store’s ducks in a row. Her family loves fishing, hunting, and camping, so she picked B. Whimsy’s new line of travel ware as her favorite thing. “I love giving gifts and it can be hard to find nice gifts in Dalhart for guys. These camo-inspired bags, gun cases, and boot bags are perfect gifts for your dad, husband, brother, or son.”
When she’s not at a 4H meeting or church event, you can often find Kay at B. Whimsy helping out however she can. She’s the unboxer and price-tagger when we get a new shipment, registry setter-upper and amazing gift wrapper, and all around help at the store. She loves to cook, so she picked these fun Christmas platters, plates, and cups as her favorite thing.
When I was moving to Dalhart a few years ago, a friend told me that I HAD to go to B. Whimsy. So I went, bought a scarf, and got myself a job. I handle most of B. Whimsy’s marketing and communications efforts – so I’m the writer of this blog, photographer, and post-er to Facebook. I’m a die-hard TCU fan, so had to pick this purple Consuela bag as my favorite thing!
You might not see Shay at B. Whimsy quite as much as you used to since she went back to teaching school this year. But, she couldn’t completely get rid of us! Shay was a huge help decorating for Christmas and you’ll see her at our Christmas Open House next week!
Her favorite item: these fanciful Nutcrackers. “Nutcrackers are a classic Christmas staple and a fun item to collect.”
The Bezner Kids
If you’re at the store after school, you’re likely to see at least one of the Bezner kids running around. So, naturally, we had to include a few of their cute faces and their favorite things!
The girls, of course, loved Vera Bradley. And boys will be boys – Barrett went for the truck, biscuits and gravy, and “Snowman Poop.”
We all look forward to shopping with you this Christmas season and hope to see you at the Christmas Open House on November 13!
