This week, I read an article about the importance of taking care of yourself, rewarding yourself, and treating yourself. So often, we get caught up in all of the stress and constant duties of work, of being a mom or a wife, of taking care of others first. Sometimes though, we need to slow down, take a breath, and take care of ourselves.
This week for our Friday Five, we are sharing a few ideas of little ways to treat yourself.
1.) A Fall Candle
Yesterday, Kari posted on Instagram a photo of her favorite Fall things – a pumpkin chai candle and our new grapevine pumpkin. This time of year, as we spend more and more time inside our homes, new candles make your house feel a little more cozy and cheerful.
We have a variety of Fall candles – Pumpkin Chai, Autumn Harvest, Orange Clove, Pumpkin Spice… Stop by and find your favorite scent. And then take a moment to sit down, relax, and enjoy the coziness of Fall.
2.) A New Scarf
Speaking of cozy, grab a new warm scarf and wrap yourself up. I love these new scarves we just got in. They are heavy and warm – and the perfect little treat for a chilly Fall day.
3.) Pumpkin Bread Mix
If you’re anything like me, this time of year brings out your inner Julia Child or Paula Dean. The temperatures start falling, the leaves start changing, and suddenly baking sounds like the best thing I could possibly do on a Saturday morning.
We just got in new spices and mixes – including this Pumpkin Bread mix. I can’t wait to make it this weekend!
4.) Halloween Decor
While you’re in the kitchen, add some fun new seasonal decorations to put a smile on your face every time you see them! How about these fun tea towels or a cute pumpkin to brighten up your day and make you smile?!
5.) A Custom Floral Arrangement
Let’s be honest, sometimes you just need more than a little treat. Instead, you need something that really makes you stop in your tracks and see the beauty that exists in the everyday. And, I love the power of a beautiful floral arrangement to do just that.
